The Receptionist may work at one of two Erie House sites: at 1701 W. Superior St. or at 1347 W. Erie St. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations (or Lead Receptionist in the absence of the Senior Director), the Receptionist’s basic function is to respond to all incoming telephone calls, greet visitors and direct participants and guests appropriately. The Receptionist serves as the initial point of contact of the organization and should be professional, sensitive and courteous in dealing with the organization’s diverse community. The primary goals of the department are to promote healthy nutrition, exercise habits, and self-esteem among children; to promote parent engagement in these areas while increasing their understanding of the link between child development and nutrition; and to train parents and children to be health promoters in their communities. Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, the Director’s basic function is to be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the department, ensuring compliance with program and funding requirements, program development, securing resources, and personnel supervision.
