Early Childhood Education

Supportive Services

Each child is unique, and our goal is to make sure your little one has access to the support and services they need to succeed. At Erie House, we have a team of specialists—including a social worker, psychologist, grad students and family workers —who are dedicated to helping your child grow and learn.

Special Needs

Our preschool classrooms are led by certified teachers who know how to adapt instruction according to special needs your child might have. We frequently work with children with IFSPs (Individual Family Service Plan) and IEPs (Individualized Education Plan) and can make referrals when necessary. We also coordinate pick-up and drop-off for children receiving services through the Chicago Public Schools.

Play Therapy

By allowing children to engage with their imagination, express their emotions and interact with a caring, trusted adult, they are able to feel safe and begin learning how to cope with trauma in the world around them and in their own lives. Our clinical psychologist leads a team of 10 graduate-level externs who work one-on-one with your child to promote healthy growth and development through play.

Don't just take our word for it, though. See how play therapy has impacted the lives of these Erie House kids:

Family Resources

Our Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and team of family workers want to make sure you have the tools to support your child’s growth at home, too. We offer group workshops and individual sessions to help you play an even greater role in their development.
