  • Director of Workforce Development

    Erie Neighborhood House, a progressive social service agency serving the Chicago metropolitan area and dedicated to promoting a just and inclusive society, is seeking a full-time Director of Workforce Development. Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, the Director of Workforce Development’s basic function is being responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the department, ensuring compliance with program and funding requirements, program development, securing resources, and personnel supervision. The primary goals of the department are to coordinate its Pathways to Success (PTS) Program and amplify workforce opportunities through creative partnerships. PTS is the agency’s Bridge Program, designed to link youth and adults with barriers, including limited English and/or work skills, to high quality training programs administered by non-profits, community colleges or proprietary schools. The Director serves as a member of the agency Leadership management team.

At an important moment in Erie House’s history, the Senior Director of Development & Communications will be essential in leading the organization through its 150th anniversary celebration in 2020. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Senior Director of Development & Communications basic function is to set the organization’s strategic fundraising and external communications agenda to achieve and exceed its $9M annual revenue goals. The Senior Director of Development & Communications oversees a team of six, directly supervising and coaching four employees. This position serves as a member of the agency’s Executive Team, Leadership Team, and is the primary liaison to the Board of Director’s Development Committee and Associate Board.

Reporting to the Intake Manager, the School-Age Intake Specialist's basic function is to maintain active status of re-determinations, assure full enrollment, maintain internal reporting on re-determination status, ensure families are approved for services, and maintain eligibility for Child and Adult Care Food Program.
